With this package you will visit 4 of the most exciting and sought after destinations in Brazil: the city of Rio de Janeiro, the magical and exotic state of Bahia, the legendary Amazon and the vast and beautiful wetlands of the Pantanal.
Brazilians say that God created the world in six days and, on the seventh, he created Rio. This ‘Marvelous City’, with its stunning Pao de Acucar (Sugar Loaf), the impressive Corcovado (the statue of Christ) white sand beaches and green, granite based mountains, must be the most beautiful and exciting city in the world.
Salvador, known for its history, culture and beauty and Praia do Forte, a quaint fisherman village, known for its beaches, restaurants and artisan shops will give you a glimpse of what the state of Bahia has to offer in terms of rich history, culture and unexplored nature.
The Amazon is the world’s largest river basin, and also the planet’s greatest rainforest, within which resides a wealth of life richer than any place else on earth, and millions of species still remain undiscovered. One of the best places to see some of this incredible wildlife is at the Uakari Lodge, situated near the small city of Tefe (1.5 hours SSW by commercial plane from Manaus). You will also visit the city of Manaus, which is famous for its spectacular Opera House (built at the end of the 19th Century), its busy dock area and bustling port market.
The Pantanal is a vast wetland, measuring 230,000 sq km (143,000 sq miles), in the central west of Brazil, is one of the world’s greatest wildlife preserves and includes spectacular canyons and waterfalls in its stunning scenery. The Pantanal is home to 700 species of bird, around 240 varieties of fish, giant anteaters, armadillos, marmosets, monkeys, wolves, pumas, anacondas, capivaras, and the impressive cayman, to name but a few species. With this package you will also stay in Bonito, which has breathtaking mountain and forest scenery and whose main attractions are wildlife, rivers and caves with crystal waters and amazing stalagmite and stalactite formations.

Bahia 3 nights includes:

2 nights at the Hotel Catharina Paraguacu. This charming old Colonial home is located in the central Bohemian district of Rio Vermelho. It is walking distance from the beach and from many good bars and restaurants.

Accommodation in Praia do Forte:

Amazon 5 nights includes:
Accommodation in Manaus:
2 nights at the Tropical Manaus Hotel. Situated at the shore of the Rio Negro, this colonial style hotel offers all the comforts and amenities of a luxury hotel.
Tours in Manaus:
· City tour including the Manaus Theater / Opera House, dock area, municipal port market (a replica of the old Les Halles market in Paris) and a choice of either the Native Indian Museum or the Museum of Natural History
Accommodation at Uakari Lodge:
3 nights in one of The Uakari Lodge’s 5 floating cabins, situated off a tributary of the Solimoes River. The Lodge was designed for minimum environmental impact and is located inside the Mamiraua Reserve, the largest existing block of protected Amazonian rainforest.
Tours:
· Walking trails through the flooded forest (during the rainy season only boat trips are possible)

2 nights in Pantanal at the Refugio Ecologico Caiman. This hotel has 4 comfortable lodges with different architectural styles, all designed to combine with the landscape.

All tours in the Pantanal are designed to see the maximum amount of wildlife and flora. You have a choice of some or all of the following:
