Tilajari is located in the lush San Carlos Valley in the north central region characterized by mountains, plains, rivers, lakes, rainforest and some outstanding natural wonders as the Arenal Volcano, Tabacón hot Springs, Fortuna Waterfall, Venado Caves and Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge. Set among 30 acres of magnificent gardens and tropical fruit trees overlooking the San Carlos River, nearby, guest can see crocodiles, giant iguanas and immense variety of birds.

Tilajari is both a hotel and a resort and is one of the principal vacation spots for Costa Rican families on weekend excursion trips. Approximately 150 Costa Rican families are members who have right to use the pool, tennis courts, and restaurant; A cross cultural experience with the opportunity to meet different affluent people. Due to our size and variety of activities, it is never too crowded to truly enjoy your experience. In fact, we could easily double our hotel capacity without making Tilajari a crowded facility.
