Chauffeur Services:

Rate 39.000 Pts. (about $200) one way. The limousine and driver can also be hired for day trips to Granada , Seville, Cordoba, etc., prices on request.

By Helicopter: 
Their is also a Helipad if you really want to arrive in style, with a helicopter transfer to/from Málaga Airport, Marbella, or any city within Andalucía.  Prices on request.  

By Car: 
On leaving Malaga Airport, follow the signs to Málaga. Once on the motorway, follow the signs to Antequera, which will appear very shortly after you begin driving on the motorway.

Continue following the Antequera motorway until you see the exit 148 - marked Casabermeja and Colmenar, approx 35 kms. beyond Malaga. Exit here.  Follow the exit road under the motorway and up into the village of Casabermeja. At the 'T' junction, turn right, following the sign to Villaneuva de la Concepción.  Continue out of the village bearing left as you see the sign for Almogia.  At the next junction you will again see the Villa de la Concepción sign.  Turn left and keep on this road for 16 kilometres until you arrive at the village.

At the top of the village you will meet a 'T' junction. Turn left and follow the road 1.5 kilometers out of the village. Look for a turning to your right marked La Joya and La Higuera, turn right and we are 3 kilometers along this road on the left hand side.

Less than one hour from Málaga airport, La Posada del Torcal is in the very heart of Andalucía, the perfect base from which to discover the hidden treasures of this fascinating region. The town of Antequera, 15 kilometres away, with its timeless monuments; the lakes and gorge of El Chorro; the spa town of Carratraca, with its Roman baths; Córdoba and Granada... all are under one hours journey from La Posada del Torcal.

When to Come

Springtime
Spring starts early in Andalucía.  February brings the almond ssoms. March and April the fields are lush and a profusion of spring flowers cover the countryside.  The air is crisp, nights are chilly. The daytime temperatures range from 12ºc-19ºc.  Very comfortable temperatures for either walking or sightseeing. At this time of year you may get some rain, but is usually short bursts.

Autumn
October and November are the best autumn months for walking or sightseeing. Harvests are in and new crops are already growing.  Look for autumn fruits, elder, blackberries and rosehips in the hedgerows. Temperatures range between 12ºc-22 ºc.  October being normally warmer than November.

Summer
Our high altitude position means hot summer daytime temp 36ºc, but cool evening breazes and no humidity.  It's Feria season in Andalucia.  Lots of gentry and fun.
