La Posada del Torcal is situated on a hilltop, 845 metres above sea level. Therefore night time temperatures in spring and autumn can be very chilly...so come prepared. As you can see, the hotel is situated in a peaceful landscape which you may explore at your leisure.

Enjoy the selections from our exciting, innovative menu, in an unbeatable setting. Whether in our elegant, intimate dining room with its fireplace, stylish furnishings and 300-year-old beams, or al fresco on our terrace with its breath-taking views, this is the perfect place for a long Spanish lunch or a romantic dinner, any time of year. Eat informally at our 'Bodega' style pool side Tapas bar - open daily from April to October. There guests can sample finos from Jerez along with a mouth-watering selection of typical spanish tapas such as jamon Serrano, queso manchego, & boquerones.

La Casita, formally a goat herders cottage, now provides guests with a number of facilities both in Summer and Winter. A fully stocked bar, comfortable seating around an open fireplace, an extensive video and music library and a good selection of books that makes La Casita a perfect place to spend a quiet afternoon in the Winter months.

In the Summer, the terraces surrounding La Casita are used for informal Tapas style lunches. Also in La Casita guests will find a Finnish Sauna, a small Fitness Room and separate shower and changing rooms. Just outside La Casita is a large swimming pool - open all year round and an outdoor Jacuzzi.

If you are interested in Aromatherapy Massage, there are two highly qualified therapists are on hand 7 days a week offering a full range or aromatherapy treatments. Guest may also use the hotel's tennis court at no extra charge . Newly constructed with an artificial grass surface. A ball machine is available for hire.

The hotel has two well trained , friendly grey mares who can be hired to go trekking through the El Torcal National Park and surrounding areas. Inexperienced horse-back riders can be led by a guide. We also have Mountain Bikes available for our guest's use. Maps and guided tours are offered to guests who enjoy walking. The surrounding countryside and the El Torcal National Park provide guests with a unique opportunity to see rare fauna and flora and birds such as eagles in their natural habitat.
There are two excellent golf courses in Malaga. approx. 40 minutes drive from the hotel. We will make any arrangements, including equipment hire on behalf of guests. In the Winter, the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort provides excellent skiing from November thru April. Arrangements for ski hire and passes can be made through the hotel. It is about 1hr 40 minutes from the hotel by car.
