Airlines flying to San Jose and Liberia

Delta flies direct from Atlanta to Liberia, three times a week. Most airlines fly to San Jose on a daily basis (American, Delta, United, Continental & Grupo Taca). Local air charters from San Jose to Liberia are also available daily.


There are two routes to get there:

1. Take the Interamerican highway and head north towards Cañas, in the province of Guanacaste. Once in Cañas, turn east and head toward Tilaran and after toward Lake Arenal. Border the lake until you reach “Nuevo Arenal” there you will encounter many signs that will show you the way to Lake Coter and to Eco Lodge.

2. Take the Interamerican highway toward Naranjo. Then turn east toward Cuidad Quesada and then go toward La Fortuna in San Carlos. From La Fortuna border the east side of the Arenal Lake until you get to a town called “Nuevo Arenal” in Tilaran. There you will find signs that will guide you to Lake Coter and to Eco Lodge. Eco Lodge offers private transport service and “shuttle” service at set times.
