Santa Ana still has the image of a quiet rural village, known for its ceramics and pottery.
A short walk from the property brings you to the town plaza and picturesque church with small shops, grocery stores and several restaurants.
From Santa Ana there are several activities that can be enjoyed as an afternoon or a full day trip such as:
• Poás Volcano National Park (about an hour)
• La Paz Waterfall Gardens (about an hour)
• The Butterfly Farm (about 25 minutes)
• Britt Coffee Tour (about 25 minutes)
• Turubari Tropical Park (about an hour)
• White water rafting on the Pacuare river.
• Downtown San José : 15 minutes from the hotel, features historic landmarks such as the National Theater, Gold and Jade Museums , National Museum and the unique Central Market.

El Tejado de Tono Restaurant & Museum serves great bocas snacks, history. Richard and 'Dr, Bob' at Tex Mex, northeast of the church, earns rave reviews for their tangy southwest specialties. From the Red Cross west follow signs to Rancho de Macho, order mixed plate of meats grilled over coffee wood and local luscious fried onions.
