From San José
Heading west through the
Interamerican Highway (Autopista Interamericana), passing the Juan
Santamaria International Airport, traveling past the towns of Palmares, San
Ramon and Esparza, until arriving at the intersection between Puntarenas
(pronounced Poonta-raynas) and Guanacaste (pronounced
Gwana-cah-stay), where you'll go right towards Caldera ( heading
southwest) for approximately 4 miles. The hotel sign will be on your right,
where you'll turn in to the entrance.
Another option is to take the
Interamerican Highway towards Puntarenas but about 15 minutes
after the airport, you will turn off to your right at the intersection that goes
to a town called Atenas (pronounced Ah-tay-nas). After
Atenas, you'll travel through winding mountain passages with spectacular views
of the coastline, San Mateo and Orotina and head towards Caldera, turning to
your right as you reach the Pacific, going for another few miles over the Rio
Barranca Bridge and arriving shortly thereafter at the hotel sign, this time, to
your left.
From Liberia
This route is useful for those
arriving to Costa Rica through the Liberia International Airport. Take the
Autopista Interamericana southeast, straight ahead though the towns of
Bagaces, Cañas and Las Juntas
until arriving at the intersection to Puntarenas. Turn right
towards Caldera Port for four miles straight until spotting our sign to the
right side.
